Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. HR Senior Director: Global Development at Amgen includes all clinical development functions across our four Therapeutic Areas. The role supports both SVP's and leadership teams for Global Development and Global “Oncology” Development. In addition to the physician-scientists that manage our clinical designs, shepherd programs through the full commercialization process, and participate in cross functional governance forums, these two SVPs also lead key “platform” functions such as Biostatistics, Precision Medicine, and Epidemiology. The role is both broad in it’s reach and deep in the functional domains it supports—and represents the ability to have a significant impact on our business as well as learn more about key technical domains that are central to the accomplishment of the company’s very mission and purpose.
In addition in leading the HR support for these two large functions (with over a dozen vice presidents and 1,000 staff), through the core HR processes of performance calibration, talent management, recruiting, etc., the has key organizational interfaces with global R&D sites in Europe and Asia and other key business functions. In particular, the partnership with Global Development Operations, a the key team that leads the conduct of our clinical trials. In supporting these teams and the work they conduct, the Senior Director, Human Resources will have two direct reports and multiple key HR partners in Centers of Expertise, such as Compensation, Talent Acquisition, etc.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 5 years of Human Resources experience
Or
Master’s degree and 9 years of Human Resources experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 11 years of Human Resources experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 5 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
