Privacy Policy
Last updated · May 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use applinity (the “Service”). It applies to information collected through applinity.com and related properties.
1. Information we collect
You provide it
- Account information. Email address, full name, and password (stored hashed).
- Résumé content. The text or file you upload, the parsed structured representation (work history, education, skills, summary), and a vector embedding derived from it.
- Preferences. Target roles, target locations, remote preference, minimum compensation, minimum match score, target companies, notification settings.
- Application activity. Jobs you queue, jobs you submit, the tailored résumé snapshots used for each submission, and the status reported back by the employer’s ATS.
- Interview-prep artifacts. Cover letters, interview & JD prep cards, and mock-interview sessions you generate against a job description. For voice mock interviews this also includes the transcribed text of your spoken answers and short-lived audio sent to / received from our speech providers; we do not retain the raw audio after the session ends. Mock transcripts and scores are retained in your account so you can review past sessions.
- Billing information. Subscription tier, billing cycle, and identifiers returned by Stripe. Card numbers are handled and stored by Stripe; we do not see or store them.
Collected automatically
- Authentication and session cookies (see our Cookies Policy).
- Server logs. Standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, request path, and timestamps. We use these to operate, secure, and debug the Service.
From third parties
- ATS responses. When you submit an application, the employer’s ATS may return identifiers, status codes, or error messages, which we store with your application record.
- Public job postings. We ingest public posting data (titles, descriptions, locations, comp bands, application URLs) from participating employers’ ATSes. This information is about jobs, not about you.
2. How we use information
- To create and operate your account.
- To compute match scores, tailor résumé and cover letter content for individual postings, generate interview & JD prep cards, run text and voice mock interviews against the job description, and submit applications when you instruct us to.
- To process subscriptions, billing, and renewals.
- To send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, account-security notices) and, if you opt in, match digests.
- To monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service, including detecting fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Employers and their ATSes. When you instruct us to submit an application, we transmit your tailored résumé and the contact information required by that employer (typically name and email) to the employer’s ATS.
- Service providers. We use vetted vendors to operate the Service:
- Supabase — managed Postgres database, file storage, and authentication.
- Anthropic — Claude models for résumé parsing, match rescoring, per-job tailoring, cover letter generation, interview & JD prep cards, and the interviewer voice in text and voice mock interviews.
- OpenAI — embedding model (text-embedding-3-small) used for similarity search.
- Deepgram — speech-to-text for voice mock interviews. Receives short-lived audio chunks of your spoken answers; we instruct them not to retain or train on the audio.
- Cartesia — text-to-speech for the interviewer voice in voice mock interviews.
- Stripe — payments, subscription management, billing portal.
- Resend — transactional email and digest delivery.
- Vercel — application hosting, deployment logs, and basic request analytics.
- PostHog — product analytics (page views, feature usage). Configured for first-party autocapture; we do not use it for cross-site advertising.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, lawful requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to commercially reasonable confidentiality obligations.
4. AI processing
We use third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Deepgram, Cartesia) to parse your résumé, generate embeddings, score matches, rewrite bullets for individual postings, draft cover letters and prep cards, transcribe spoken answers during voice mock interviews, and synthesize the interviewer’s voice. We do not permit those providers to use your résumé, application content, or mock-interview audio to train their general-purpose models; this is governed by our agreements with those providers and by their own published policies. Generated outputs are stored within your account so you can review and reuse them.
5. Data retention
- We retain your account information for as long as your account is active.
- Match scores and per-job tailoring / cover letter / prep card snapshots are cached for up to 30 days and recomputed on demand thereafter.
- Mock-interview transcripts and scores are retained in your account so you can review past sessions. Raw audio sent to / received from speech providers is not retained after the session ends.
- Application history (queued, submitted, and outcome rows) is retained for the life of your account so you have a durable record of your activity.
- When you delete your account, we delete personal information within a reasonable period, subject to legal, accounting, and security obligations (e.g., billing records).
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, server-only access to API keys and service credentials, and least-privilege database roles. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and update. You can view and update most of your information directly in the app (profile, preferences, résumé, application history).
- Deletion. You can delete your account from Settings or by emailing hello@applinity.com.
- Email preferences. Transactional emails are tied to account activity and cannot be disabled while your account is active. Optional digest emails can be disabled in Settings.
- Regional rights. If you reside in the EEA, the UK, California, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy law, you may have additional rights (such as access, portability, correction, deletion, and objection). Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide notice (e.g., by email or in-product). The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
