Job description

The PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act) Controllership consists of experienced, creative, and driven high performers who serve as the project management engine for Google’s consumer hardware and services products.

As a Finance Program Manager, you will develop in collaborative, global environments and solving complex problems. You will act as a critical thought partner to accounting stakeholders and cross-functional business partners, ensuring our financial systems and processes scale effectively with Google’s growth.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $111,000-$159,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.

  • Identify trends and implement solutions for complex problems across business groups (e.g., Order-to-Cash, gStore, and Google Fi). Lead process optimization efforts to enhance financial system integrity.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of business and accounting processes. Ensure key SOX controls are integrated into project lifecycles and that financial risks are addressed early.
  • Maintain strategic, cross-functional relationships. Influence decision-making by providing data-driven recommendations and facilitating alignment across global teams.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, or project management from a public accounting firm or multi-national company.
  • Experience managing cross-functional finance and accounting projects and identifying process improvements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA or CA certification, or experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX compliance.

  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
