Job description
As a Launch Manager within the Operations Excellence (OpsEx) team, you will be the catalyst behind the successful deployment of AI app review agents across various Trust and Safety verticals. You will serve as the central node for cross-functional (XFN) coordination, guiding projects through a multi-step launch playbook from initial prompt creation and prompt tuning to production deployment and post-launch monitoring.

A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional meetings across Product Management, Engineering, Policy, and Operations to track action items and manage launch-specific timelines.
- Identify launch blockers and facilitate rapid resolution to keep classifier deployments on schedule.
- Guarantee that all launch requirements including Policy sign-offs on knowledge docs, SteerCo reviews, and launch document approvals are fully completed before production launch.
- Coordinate and manage vendor resourcing required for human evaluation of random samples of AI classifier decisions.
- Lead the initial OpsEx investigation when metric thresholds are breached post-launch, partnering with Ops Verticals and Engineering to recommend policy or prompt changes.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in operations, trust and safety, program management, business strategy, or related fields.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in AI/ML operations.
- Experience in content policy, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
- Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization, or a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python).
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) or prompt engineering.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration.
