What you'll do...
Leads
product strategy and operations for multiple complex product families. Defines long-term vision and
product strategy for the business area by collaborating to develop long-term corporate financial plans; delivering on the financial plan; developing recommendations on long-term investments (e.g., acquisitions, disruptive technology); identifying and facilitating disruptive innovation opportunities. Accountable for enterprise-level resource allocation and organizational capability development. Influences senior leadership on portfolio investment decisions and shapes Walmart's
competitive product positioning.
Portfolio Strategy & Vision Leadership:
Defines long-term product vision and strategy for multiple complex product families by analyzing business objectives, customer needs, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
Develops long-term financial plans; delivers against financial targets; identifies enterprise-wide opportunities based on deep understanding of competition and emerging trends.
Approves business cases, resource allocations, key metrics, and strategic priorities to align product investments with enterprise outcomes.
Promotes innovation by identifying and adopting emerging technologies and guiding the organization through architectural decisions.
Product Development & Execution Oversight:
Prioritizes product roadmaps and develops growth strategies across business areas by collaborating with senior leadership, predicting risks and dependencies, and identifying high-ROI opportunities.
Manages risk, dependencies, and trade-offs while directing roadmap creation, scaling, and rollout strategies across product teams.
Guides formation of user and business acceptance criteria; ensures readiness for launch and adoption; sets validation guidelines across product, problem, and user levels.
Ensures product processes meet governance, compliance, and ethical standards; continuously improves product operating rhythms.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Executive Influence:
Builds and fosters partnerships with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Business stakeholders by communicating clear priorities and aligning teams around investment choices.
Influences senior leadership through fact-based narratives grounded in customer needs, market insights, and data.
Drives an ecosystem that identifies and addresses unmet customer needs through structured discovery, design thinking, and journey mapping.
Organizational Leadership & Capability Development:
Leads development of a high-performing product organization by diagnosing capability gaps, recruiting and developing talent, and supporting succession planning.
Promotes a culture of integrity, ethical behavior, and adherence to company standards.
Drives operational excellence by evaluating organizational processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and sponsoring continuous learning.
Shapes the product management career framework and competency standards for the organization.
Data, AI & Technology-Forward Decision Making:
Guides teams in extracting insights from complex data analytics to drive product decisions and challenge assumptions.
Encourages adoption of modern data practices, AI-powered insights, and emerging technology capabilities to improve product outcomes.
Anticipates market, competitor, and technology trends to inform
product strategy and enterprise planning.
Champions responsible AI practices; ensures teams assess feasibility, risk, and ethical implications.
Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting
resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and
existing talent.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $192,000.00 - $384,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
