Amazon's Gift Card business is rapidly growing across 20+ marketplaces worldwide. The Gift Card Fraud Prevention team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented Senior Manager to lead our Worldwide Fraud Prevention charter. This leader will own the end-to-end fraud prevention strategy across the GC lifecycle — protecting billions in annual issuance across B2B and B2C channels, while ensuring a frictionless customer experience.
This role is responsible for driving fraud reduction through strategic partnerships with
Machine Learning, Buyer Risk Prevention (
BRP), Operations, Product, and Tech teams. You will work with talented and nimble teams of scientists, investigators, product and program managers — bringing together
cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities and translate them into measurable outcomes. Responsibilities include strategic planning, roadmap ownership, executive reporting, and management of resources across teams. The role requires creative problem-solving balanced with high judgment, speed of response, and customer obsession.
You will work with global and local stakeholders internal and external to Amazon, including:
- WW and regional senior leadership within Gift Cards and Amazon Payment Products
- Risk Prevention (ML, Product, Operations, and Investigations teams)
- External partners and integrators (e.g., Blackhawk Network, Apple)
- Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory teams
- Gift Card Product, Technology, and Business teams across all marketplaces
Key job responsibilities
- Own the WW Gift Card fraud prevention strategy and bad debt goal including CX metrics, and operational metrics.
- Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing team of fraud product / program managers, analysts, and BI professionals; attract and retain top talent.
- Drive the fraud prevention roadmap end-to-end — prioritizing ML model enhancements, detection signals, enforcement mechanisms, and external data-sharing partnerships.
- Build and maintain
cross-functional partnerships with
BRP, ML Science, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to deploy mitigations that balance risk reduction with customer experience and business growth.
- Own executive reporting (WBR/MBR/QBR) and represent fraud prevention in VP-level reviews; translate complex fraud dynamics into clear narratives and actionable strategies
- Lead incident response for large-scale fraud attacks — driving rapid containment, root cause analysis, and systemic remediation across marketplaces.
- Set the vision for AI-driven,
real-time fraud decisioning and establish scalable frameworks that embed fraud controls into new product and country launches from day one.
- 12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 8+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- 5+ years of fraud identification and detection, investigation and analysis for root causing and providing suitable preventive mechanisms experience
- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
