The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop host networking features implemented within the USPS and networkd system daemons.
- Design and develop datapath features in C++ for reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Build and maintain the host networking datapath that impacts Google's infrastructure by processing packets in the stack.
- Collaborate with client teams to design and implement networking solutions that solve issues.
- Provide guidance on the host networking datapath to support projects for teams. Deliver impact by shaping the future of host networking architecture.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience coding in C++.
- 2 years of experience with operating systems.
- 2 years of experience with TCP/IP.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with user space networking.
- 2 years of experience with software-defined networking.
- 2 years of experience with performance optimization.
