Amazon’s Quantitative Business Intelligence Tools (QuBIT) team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Software Development Manager to lead their inbound visibility and reporting charter.

A successful candidate for this role will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. The candidate must have the ability to collaborate closely on system requirements with our customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch.

* Lead the effective and efficient delivery of the large, complex projects..
* Develop and maintain a culture of innovation and operational efficiency in the team.
* Influence, collaborate and communicate effectively with various leaders in Amazon.
* Hiring, growing and retaining a strong team keeping with the Amazon high bar.
* Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
*Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization.
*Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
*Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

About the team
QuBIT (Quantitative Business Intelligence Tools) designs and develops software solutions for Global Customer Fulfillment. Our mission is to deliver technical solutions which unify sources of truth, fill gaps visibility, and reduce operational complexity. We invest in incremental solutions, while iterating towards long-term objectives for our customers. - 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
