Job description

As a Strategic Lead, you will serve as the primary strategic partner to leaders within Google's Trust and Safety (T&S) pillars. You are a key architect of strategy for your assigned pillar, responsible for translating high-level organizational goals into concrete, measurable, and impactful plans.

You will have a split portfolio of supporting one of Trust and Safety's pillars and serving as the primary program manager of Trust and Safety's organization-wide Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformation initiative. You will bridge the gap between big-picture strategy and daily operations to drive quantifiable business outcomes. You will be embedded within your assigned pillar's leadership team—attending staff meetings, offsites, and reviews—while reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Operations (StratOps).The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Author annual strategic plans and multi-year roadmaps in partnership with Pillar Leads, ensuring direct alignment between team contributions, trust and safety, and Google’s top-level priorities.
  • Serve as program manager for the Trust and Safety-wide artificial intelligence transformation program, focusing on empowering trust and safety team members with new agentic and other tools to make work more efficient and redesign processes and workflows.
  • Define KPIs to measure business impact and prepare data-driven narratives for executive reviews, specifically QBRs/MBRs, to quantify ROI and inform strategic resource allocation.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between pillars and the central Trust and Safety organization, facilitating change management and diagnosing business issues to mitigate organizational risks.
  • Identify new strategic investments and build robust business cases to address emerging risks and unlock opportunities within the global Trust and Safety landscape.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, operations, business strategy, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with AI tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading organizational transformation, with specific value in AI-related change management.
  • Experience interpreting data to support executive decision-making.
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas to leadership.
