Job description

With every new technology, framework, or product, there's a need for tools that can expose important underlying system behaviors. As a result, it's key that you have a strong passion for learning! You'll need to work effectively with Apple teams of different engineering disciplines, anticipate problems early, and communicate ideas clearly.
An ideal candidate will be able to drive development projects independently, collaborating with other teams to innovate in solving tough engineering challenges, and iteratively developing and integrating solutions to complex problems.
Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, rapid development cycles, tight schedules and evolving requirements is very critical for this role.

Drive firmware integration for assigned project(s) end-to-end
Contribute towards automating the workflow so that it requires minimal interaction
Continue looking for areas to improve including GenAI approaches so that its easier to scale across more projects
Collaborate with cross functional teams for coordinating integrations and workflow automation
Troubleshoot and fix issues as they occur during automation workflows
Keep improving ongoing workflows for developer/test ease of use

1+ years of python development experience
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Proficient in using version tracking systems like git
Have some experience working with frontend, backend and databases
Have some automated testing experience
Experience in computer science or a related field commensurate with a 4-year degree

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ReactJS
Software profiling and optimization background
Passion for using or improving development tools
Understanding of Operating System fundamentals
Ability to analyze and visualize core concepts of new technologies

The Wireless Tech & Ecosystems (WTE) team is looking for developer tools engineers with a passion for optimization to enhance, debug complicated problems, adapt, and innovate crafting tools for the next generation of Apple's software and hardware platforms.
Core responsibilities include automate development workflows, device testing automation, scaling developer lifecycle automation tools in Wireless teams Developer Tools ecosystem.
Wireless Developer Tools group provides the tools that allow dreamers, makers, and shapers to design, write, build, integrate, sanity test, and deliver software for iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.
Tools development is a uniquely rewarding area where the users are other developers, an opportunity to improve the productivity of developers across the world who make life-changing ideas a reality.
The Wireless Developer Tools team primarily focuses on the continuous integration, per commit build/test, scale and maintain build/test infrastructure, deploy web portals, mine data and create visualizations for analysis, efficiently integrate and deliver software to iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $203,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
