Are you ready to transform how legal teams work by building AI-powered solutions that eliminate manual processes? Amazon's Enterprise Risk Legal Operations team is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead process mapping and automation initiatives across our litigation and regulatory practice groups. In this role, you will identify inefficiencies, design and implement AI solutions using Amazon Quick and Kiro, and partner with Legal Tech to deploy scalable automation that enables attorneys and paralegals to focus on strategic legal work.

This position uniquely combines program management and data analysis expertise with hands-on AI implementation—you'll collaborate with paralegals and attorneys to drive efficiency, lead cross-functional initiatives, and directly impact operational excellence across Amazon's legal organization.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive process mapping across practice groups to identify automation opportunities and design AI-powered solutions using Amazon Quick, Kiro, and other approved AI tools

- Optimize high-volume litigation programs, including case intake, triage, assignment workflows, and performance metrics

- Independently manage litigation matters from each practice group to gain firsthand workflow knowledge and develop targeted process improvements

- Partner with Legal Tech teams to develop and deploy scalable automation solutions that reduce manual effort and increase accuracy across legal workflows

- Manage critical business mechanisms including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), and OP1 planning processes with executive-level reporting

- Drive cross-functional initiatives with attorneys, paralegals, engineers, finance teams, and vendors to deliver program outcomes on time

- Support paralegals to oversee vendor management, KPIs and overall program performance optimization

A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing high-volume pre-litigation program metrics and identifying bottlenecks in data retrieval workflows. Mid-morning, you'll facilitate a process mapping session with paralegals and practice group members to document workflows, then build an AI agents or collaborate with engineers to scope an AI-powered solution using Amazon Quick or Kiro.

In the afternoon, you could be preparing QBR materials that showcase automation ROI, meeting with outside counsel to discuss performance metrics, or testing a new Kiro workflow for paralegals. You'll balance strategic planning with hands-on execution—one day building dashboards in QuickSight, the next presenting efficiency gains to senior legal leadership. Given the dynamic nature of legal operations, you'll adapt quickly to urgent requests while maintaining progress on long-term automation initiatives.

About the team
The Enterprise Risk Legal Operations team is transforming how Amazon's legal organization operates through technology, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making. You'll report to the Sr. Manager of the Legal Operations. The team partners closely with paralegals, program managers, attorneys across practice groups (Commercial, IP, Competition, Labor & Employment, Government Regulatory), Legal Tech engineers, finance teams, law firms, and external vendors.

You'll be part of a collaborative, innovation-focused team that values experimentation, data-driven insights, and customer-centric solutions. - 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
- Experience building scalable programs and repeatable scalable processes, levering various tools and methods to create scale and efficiency - 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience working cross-functionally with a wide breadth of stakeholders, users, engineers, and leaders to generate buy-in
- Experience in legal operations, litigation management, legal technology, or compliance environments
- Familiarity with eDiscovery operations, legal spend management, or vendor management

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
