Job description

This role sits at the intersection of logistics execution, enterprise program management, and technology enablement. The Manager will lead a team responsible for both the day-to-day rhythm of Meta's global outbound fulfillment operations and the strategic programs that transform how those operations run — including agentic AI workflows, systems modernization, and process-to-software translation. The successful candidate will have direct experience in outbound fulfillment mechanics (order management, carrier strategy, 3PL execution, on-time delivery performance) while simultaneously capable of architecting the programs, systems, and AI workflows that make those operations faster, cheaper, and more resilient.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight
  • Maintain accountability for global outbound KPIs: On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), On-Time-Delivery (OTD), On-Time-Ship (OTS), shortship rate, order cycle time, and customer delivery Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Partner with fulfillment managers on 3PL relationships — Service Level Agreement (SLA) governance, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs), and escalations — and carrier management including rate inputs, mode optimization, and transit performance
  • Ensure operational continuity across Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), Business-to-Business (B2B), and retail/channel fulfillment — each with distinct SLA constructs and cost structures
  • Process-to-System Translation & Software Enablement
  • Bridge logistics operations and systems/engineering teams. Translate operational inefficiencies and process requests into structured system requirements and prioritized backlogs
  • Own the logistics software enablement roadmap. Identify where manual workarounds and spreadsheet-driven processes can become system-level solutions
  • Drive requirements, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and rollout for logistics systems — Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), Order Management System (OMS), SAP, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integrations
  • Agentic AI Workflows & Automation
  • Lead the design and scaling of agentic AI workflows across outbound logistics: shipment exception triage, carrier selection, cost anomaly detection, vendor performance summarization, and proactive delivery risk alerting
  • Coalesce day-to-day logistics execution with AI-driven workflows — AI embedded in the operational rhythm, not run as a side project. Define human-in-the-loop vs. autonomous operating models with clear guardrails
  • Drive change management for AI adoption: training, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for agent-assisted workflows, and measurable adoption KPIs
  • Program Portfolio & New Product Introduction (NPI) Launch Readiness
  • Own the program portfolio for Global Fulfillment & Outbound Transportation: NPI launches, 3PL transitions, network & country expansions, systems migrations, and cost transformation initiatives
  • Serve as the logistics program lead for every major hardware launch — readiness checklists, war rooms, risk registers, and retrospectives
  • Establish program governance: stage-gate reviews, executive dashboards, escalation protocols, and health scorecards
  • Cost Transformation
  • Program-manage cost reduction initiatives across freight, packaging, 3PL fees, and last-mile delivery. Track against annual Cost-Per-Unit (CPU) reduction targets
  • Drive network optimization: Distribution Center (DC) footprint analysis, mode optimization (parcel, Less-Than-Truckload, Full-Truckload, ocean, air), and carrier strategy execution
  • People & Team Development
  • Build and develop a team of program managers and operations leads across regions. Hire program managers and operations leads with experience spanning logistics operations and technology enablement
  • Coach the team on stakeholder management, systems thinking, and AI fluency

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years in supply chain, logistics, or program management, with 3+ years managing managers or enterprise-scale program portfolios
  • Direct experience running fulfillment/transportation operations at scale AND managing complex cross-functional programs. Both are required
  • Track record of shipping consumer hardware across DTC, B2B, and retail/channel models. Experience with 3PL management, carrier negotiations, and multi-modal transportation
  • Proven ability to translate operational process gaps into system requirements and partner with engineering/IT to deliver software-enabled solutions
  • Experience leading or sponsoring AI/automation initiatives in an operations environment — not just piloting, but integrating into execution
  • Deep working knowledge of WMS, TMS, SAP, OMS, and EDI. Experience driving systems implementation programs
  • Experience communicating program status, risks, and decisions to VP-level audiences through presentations and dashboards. Comfortable presenting to VP-level audiences and building program dashboards Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Consumer electronics or hardware fulfillment experience
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • PgMP (Program Management Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent certification
  • Track record as the translator between operations teams and technology teams
  • Familiarity with NPI launch logistics, serialization, and Bill of Materials (BOM) driven fulfillment
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI agents, LLM-based workflows, or intelligent automation in supply chain environments
