Employee Onboarding Experience (EOE) transforms the full employment lifecycle experience for Amazon's global workforce and supports millions of candidates and employees each year.
In this role, you own the Personal Information Domain product vision, strategy, and
roadmap for self-service experiences and the underlying data platform — defining how Amazon collects, stores, validates, and distributes personal information for every Amazonian. Personal information is the foundational data layer behind seamless, context-aware journeys across the employment lifecycle, serving as the source of truth that downstream data consumers rely on.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and drive the
product strategy and
roadmap for self-service experiences across the employment lifecycle, from pre-boarding data collection through ongoing employee management to alumni — ensuring unified, intuitive journeys built on a shared data collection platform across all supported countries, with AI-powered support for contextual Q&A and native self-service updates.
- Own the personal information data store and supporting services, upstream production in applicant tracking systems, downstream propagation to data consumers, and centralized validation logic across all data ingress points — leveraging AI and
machine learning to automate data quality detection, anomaly identification, and proactive customer notification for self-service correction.
- Collaborate with engineering to evaluate architecture decisions, assess scalability and performance trade-offs, and prioritize technical debt reduction alongside feature delivery — including recruiting system integrations, dependent data support, and AI-driven document verification and automated identity validation via OCR.
- Drive
cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, legal, compliance, and operational partners globally, translating customer needs into clear requirements and building consensus across teams with different priorities.
- Define success metrics that distinguish outputs from outcomes, use data and AI-generated insights to inform prioritization, and own launches end-to-end — measuring adoption and customer impact post-
launch.
A day in the life
You work at the intersection of customer experience, data platform architecture, and global compliance. You define how personal information flows across the employment lifecycle — collaborating with engineering on platform decisions, partnering with service operations and recruiting teams on upstream and downstream data needs, and aligning with legal and privacy teams across countries. You balance new capability delivery against technical debt, use data to drive prioritization, and ensure self-service experiences are consistent and intuitive for candidates, employees, contingent workers, and alumni.
