Do you pioneer? Do you enjoy breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of a quickly expanding customer base, focusing first on our customer and working backwards? If so, the WW Operations Finance - Standardization and Automation Team is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Manager with a strong record of achieving results, to lead the build-out of our financial analytics systems supporting Global Customer Fulfillment network.
As a Business Intelligence Manager III supporting Global Customer Fulfillment Analytics, you will own the strategy and execution of data solutions delivery, agentic analytics, and scalable platform capabilities for one of Amazon's largest finance organizations. You will execute the modern data delivery strategy — transitioning legacy systems to a data lakehouse architecture with agent-first designs — while ensuring Finance customers have reliable, performant, and intuitive access to the insights they need today. This requires navigating a complex landscape of interdependent tools and platforms (many developed concurrently by other Amazon teams), managing ambiguity, making high-judgment calls with incomplete information, and adapting plans as new internal products evolve.
Success in this role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership. You will build and develop a high-performing team, forge strong
cross-functional partnerships, influence peer team roadmaps, and champion emerging technologies to deliver an
agile, scalable data infrastructure that empowers faster, more informed decision-making across Operations Finance.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the 3-Year Data Modernization strategy, overseeing the transition from legacy systems to a data lakehouse architecture and agent-first designs — ensuring Operations Finance teams gain faster, more reliable access to the data they need for decision-making.
- Own the end-to-end data delivery experience for Finance customers, defining and measuring success through customer adoption, data freshness, query performance, and self-service enablement across 2,400+ users globally.
- Champion agentic analytics capabilities, identifying opportunities to embed automation and intelligent agents into data workflows that reduce manual effort and accelerate insight generation for business stakeholders.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, engineering excellence, and operational efficiency — raising the bar on talent while delivering more with less.
- Build and maintain strong
cross-functional partnerships with peer engineering teams, product owners, and Finance leadership — influencing roadmaps and aligning dependencies to ensure cohesive delivery of the central data platform.
- Navigate complex inter-dependencies between tools and platforms developed concurrently by multiple teams, regularly assessing progress, managing ambiguity, and pivoting migration strategy as internal products evolve.
- Drive adoption and continuous improvement of analytics solutions — publishing, analyzing, and iterating on management dashboards, operational metrics decks, and KPIs in close partnership with Finance customers to ensure outputs meet evolving business needs.
- Develop and execute comprehensive deprecation and migration plans for legacy data platforms, minimizing operational disruption while maintaining data integrity and customer trust throughout transitions.
- Lead
cross-functional initiatives to integrate emerging technologies (new internal products, open-source frameworks, generative AI) into the modernization roadmap, evaluating build-vs-adopt tradeoffs with a customer-impact lens.
- Establish scalable platform capabilities and self-service tooling that empower Finance analysts to independently access, transform, and visualize data — reducing dependency on engineering teams and accelerating time-to-insight.
A day in the life
Your typical day is dynamic and multifaceted, balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational demands. You're continuously balancing the need to drive forward strategic objectives with the requirement to support ongoing operations and handle unexpected issues and escalations. Your role requires you to be adaptable, make quick decisions, and maintain a broad perspective on how individual tasks and challenges fit into the larger goals of your data infrastructure modernization initiative.
