As part of a diverse team, you will design, build, and scale robotic automation solutions to test Apple products, ensuring their outstanding quality before they reach customers!
Design, develop, and run robotic system testing solutions as the owner of one or more technology areas.
Define, implement, and evolve automated test infrastructure — including CI performance monitoring, test result analysis, triage, and reporting to ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the most effective and impactful ways to test and solve short and long-term problems.
Analyze data and results, and report the impact of all system issues found, advocating for the customer and contributing to the highest quality at all levels of the product.
Represent the team in sponsor reviews and leadership forums, providing clear updates and addressing questions.
Drive quality advocacy across the software/hardware development process — acting as the voice of end-users and championing reliability and performance improvements.
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of creating and using robotics and/or mechatronic systems (e.g. microcontrollers, sensors, actuators) to build automated solutions.
Proficient in Python coding and debugging.
Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and manufacturing, and usage of CAD.
Fundamentals in robotics field with prior experience of using robot arms.
Experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex mechatronic and software systems.
Ability to work in teams and collaborate. Clear and precise communication skills.
Analytical, disciplined, and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward.
Master’s in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience designing and working with electronic circuits, and troubleshooting electronic signals for mechatronic solutions.
Experience with advanced automation technologies such as computer vision (OpenCV), AI/ML applications, and/or applied mathematics for robotics (e.g. linear algebra, transformation matrices, kinematics).
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices.
Meticulous attention to detail and skilled at balancing multiple projects in parallel without impacting the quality of deliverables.
Experience using and/or creating AI tools for development or robotic applications.
