As the Senior Director you will lead a 150+ multi-disciplinary UX organization encompassing interaction, visual, motion design, writing, and research for Android and Pixel. The mandate is a unique and high-stakes challenge: unifying UX vision and execution across the global Android platform and Pixel first-party hardware to deliver a seamless consumer experience. As the strategic anchor for this ecosystem, you will define the multi-year UX vision for Android and Pixel phone under a cohesive "one team" philosophy. This requires driving uncompromising craftsmanship across all design disciplines while navigating hyper-complex technical and organizational dependencies between platform software and hardware release cycles.
You will partner directly with executive leaders (GMs and VPs) across Android, Pixel, GDM, Search and more to harmonize product goals and establish a unified user experience. Beyond core platforms, you will lead the integration of emerging technologies, such as Agentic AI, to define the future of mobile experiences (GenUX). Internally, you will scale a healthy and high-performing organization. You will foster a culture rooted in first-principles thinking and radical candor, empowering a large team to innovate while maintaining exceptional execution standards.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
