Job Description: 

The S6 Die Pick Technician plays a critical role in supporting high-volume semiconductor manufacturing by ensuring equipment reliability, maximizing tool performance, and minimizing production downtime. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment while partnering closely with Engineering, Production, Suppliers, and Construction teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and systems-related issues on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and restore production operations.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on non-functioning or underperforming equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Dismantle, repair, adjust, install, and assemble production equipment using blueprints, layouts, operational manuals, repair documentation, and engineering drawings.
• Execute equipment setup, calibration, preventative maintenance, and qualification activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and service providers for complex repairs, upgrades, and maintenance activities when required.

Equipment Performance & Process Support

• Monitor, analyze, and interpret tool performance data to identify trends, optimize equipment functionality, and improve overall tool availability.
• Investigate and resolve equipment and module-related issues through data-driven analysis and controlled experimentation.
• Support Engineering teams with troubleshooting activities aimed at improving equipment reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with data collection, process validation, and experimental activities while ensuring compliance with established procedures and best practices.

Continuous Improvement & Documentation

• Create and maintain detailed reports related to equipment performance, system failures, corrective actions, and maintenance activities.
• Update existing equipment specifications and develop new documentation to support long-term maintenance strategies and performance improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process, equipment, and operational enhancements that increase productivity, reliability, and quality.

Factory Ramp & Project Support

• Partner with Module Engineering and Construction teams during factory expansions, tool installations, and equipment conversion projects.
• Verify equipment installations and modifications are completed according to design specifications and operational requirements.
• Support manufacturing ramp activities by ensuring equipment readiness, stability, and performance targets are achieved.

Work Model: This position requires regular onsite presence to perform essential job responsibilities and support manufacturing operations.

Shift Hours: Employees working Shift 6 start their shift at 7:00 PM and finish at 7:30 AM Alternating Work Weeks: Alternating 3-Day Work Week (Wed, Thurs, Fri) and 4-Day Work Week (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat).

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research, relevant previous job, and/or internship experiences.  This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of relevant technical experience OR Associate of Science degree in a STEM-related field (no prior experience required).
• The experience listed above should include a combination of the following qualifications:
  • Hand tools and equipment for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Cleanroom environments and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
• This position requires:
  • Lift 25-pound parts 1-2 times per shift (on average)
  • Climb and perform work on ladders 1-3 times per shift (on average)
  • Standing and walking for up to 80% of the workday.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ months of experience working with Die Prep/Wafer Assembly toolsets and related software.
• Knowledge of electromechanical systems, including robotic drives, actuators, and microcontrollers.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with end-user computer applications, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $51,710.00-73,010.00 USD (Hourly Role)
