Apple is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their Global Network Services (GNS) team. The ideal candidate to fill the position will work in a dynamic team environment leading and executing large-scale network projects from planning through deployment and handover. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on networking expertise with proven project management skills on enterprise or multi-site deployments. Additionally, the role requires the ability to develop custom applications and automation tools to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes, driving efficiency and reducing deployment times in complex environments.The successful candidate will need to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This engineer will need to obsess over the customer experience and drive excellence in their everyday work habits through strong technical leadership and mentorship
Lead and execute large-scale network projects from planning through deployment and handover.
Develop custom applications and automation tools to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
Drive efficiency and reduce deployment times in complex environments.
Obsess over the customer experience and drive excellence through strong technical leadership and mentorship.
At least 8 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
Minimum of 3 years in a project engineering or lead role on large-scale network deployments, such as multi-site rollouts and data center builds.
In-depth experience with TCP/IP (v4 and v6), BGP, and MPLS technologies.
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and protocols.
Experience supporting large-scale peering/transit networks with knowledge of complex traffic engineering and Internet routing policies.
Extensive hands-on experience with carrier-grade networking technologies and vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
Proficiency in MacOS, Linux, or other UNIX variations.
BS or equivalent education preferred
Advanced industry network certifications preferred
Fluent spoken and written English is a must.
Early morning or late night calls may be required

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
