As a algorithm engineer, you will collaborate with an outstanding group algorithm engineers, software engineers, and our hardware engineering partners to develop new technologies for Apple’s next generation products. The focus will be innovating and delivering effective, efficient and well-tested computer vision based solutions from prototyping to shipping that are often deployed on edge devices. Besides domain expertise and technical knowledge the ideal candidate will possess the self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative to achieve those goals. You will work together with similar minds in an outstanding team where your skills and expertise can be used to influence future user experiences and hardware that will be used by millions.
Collaborate with data team to design human study and synthetic data request to collection model training data.
Prototype machine learning architecture and algorithms based on state of art techniques from the latest literature drive application features from concept, model/algorithm design, training to delivery.
Define algorithm performance verification specs and evaluate algorithm effectiveness and user experience impact across large data set.
Collaborate with team members to optimize and deployment of your algorithms.
BS in Machine Learning related fields (i.e. Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics) and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Proficiency in Python
Solid background in machine learning and ML framework.Proficiency developing large scale models using modern machine learning packages (e.g TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Experience with machine learning model interpretation, statistical inference, and evaluating deep learning models
MS/PhD in Machine Learning related fields (i.e. Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics)
Experience with LLM techniques, vision transformers, and multimodal networks
Familiarity with prompt engineering, and ability to use AL to develop efficient workflow
Experience with software design, design data pipeline, and use C/C++
Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and documentation skills, including ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
