Main Responsibilities:
This role leads US HEOR strategy and execution for Oncology and Rare Therapeutic Areas (TAs) across indications, leading a team in ensuring the generation, translation, and dissemination of high-quality, decision-relevant evidence to impact access in the United States.
Strategic Business Impact
Drive measurable business impact through strategic US HEVA initiatives that directly support US commercial objectives and US market access goals compliantly and efficiently
Develop and execute comprehensive US HEVA strategies that maximize product value propositions and competitive positioning, ensuring alignment with Global HEVA strategy
Partner with commercial teams to translate HEVA insights into actionable business strategies
Drive development of business-relevant US research agendas and strategies through cross-functional input and alignment
Leadership and Team Management
Provide exceptional leadership to the US Oncology and Rare HEVA team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and impact-driven performance
Mentor and develop team members to build world-class HEVA capabilities within the organization
Drive organizational change and process improvements to enhance team effectiveness and business impact
Represent HEVA with US Oncology and US Rare Franchise Leadership Teams
Internal Partnerships and Senior Management Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing and access decisions and brand strategies are supported with demonstrable value of assets per robust evidence packages including real-world evidence
Align closely with the Global HEVA team to ensure inclusion of US insights into global strategic plans and coordinate evidence generation, modelling, and evidence synthesis activities
Deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership, including C-suite executives and US leadership teams
Communicate complex health economics concepts and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders with clarity and impact
Influence key business decisions through data-driven insights and strategic HEVA recommendations
Ensure clinical development plans are designed to deliver true differentiation aligned to Sanofi Oncology and Rare portfolio ambitions
Health Economics Research and Evidence Generation
Oversee the design, execution, publication, and further dissemination of high-quality health economics and outcomes research studies to ensure the highest quality of evidence is delivered to support business objectives
Develop comprehensive real-world evidence strategies that support product lifecycle management
Ensure scientific rigor and regulatory compliance across all HEVA research activities
Manage the development of US launch strategies and evidence generation plans, providing strategic HEVA input into Integrated Evidence Generation Plans (IEGPs) to ensure alignment across clinical, real-world evidence, and value demonstration objectives
Across the US HEVA Oncology and Rare team, compliantly lead efforts to further HEOR dissemination, application, and proactive and/or promotional use with US stakeholders (e.g., HCEI, PIE, consistent with FDA label)
Partner with Medical Affairs and Value & Access to ensure appropriate use of evidence in field communications and training
Partner with Access Strategy teams and US Market Access teams to execute on innovative payer partnership health economics and outcomes research studies and analytics aligned with franchise priorities
Stakeholder Engagement and External Partnerships
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key external stakeholders, including payers, health technology assessment bodies, and academic institutions
Represent Sanofi at major scientific conferences and industry forums
Collaborate with external research partners and key opinion leaders to advance HEVA science
Support external engagement with key external evidence bodies (e.g., ICER, PDAB, IRA) on related pricing and access challenges, and evolving reimbursement frameworks
As a leader in Sanofi's HEVA organization, seek opportunities to actively participate and engage with external professional HEOR societies
About You
This is a senior leadership position requiring exceptional capabilities and a proven track record of delivering transformational business impact through strategic HEVA excellence. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing Sanofi's US Oncology and Rare franchises and driving sustainable competitive advantage through world-class health economics and value assessment capabilities.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, or a related field
Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in health economics, epidemiology, public health, economics, or related field required
Demonstrated expertise in health economic modeling, real-world evidence generation, and outcomes research methodologies
Deep expertise in US healthcare, payer dynamics, and policy, with a track record of translating evidence into strategic impact
Proven track record of successful market access and reimbursement support through HEVA evidence and ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels of the organization using HEVA-developed insights and evidence
Strong command of US evidence dissemination (HCEI/PIE, reactive/proactive, CFL, AMCP dossiers)
Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
Strong change management capabilities and experience leading organizational transformation initiatives
Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and functions
Extensive experience in oncology or rare therapeutic areas required, including deep understanding of disease pathophysiology, treatment paradigms, and market dynamics
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations

The salary range for this position is:
