The Worldwide Grocery Category Management team is looking for a Vendor Manager to lead multiple facets of our retail business across banners and identify growth opportunities within categories.
You will engage directly with internal teams to optimize assortment for key vendors and brands. You will work across major functional areas such as category management, pricing, inventory management, operations, marketing, and finance to drive the performance of strategic vendor partners at Amazon. You will own a wide SKU count for your vendors, keeping your day-to-day varied and challenging.
The ideal candidate is curious, customer-obsessed, driven, and creative, with strong business and product sense and a solid understanding of technical concepts. You bring experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance, along with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reports and performing analyses. You thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and are not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, the ability to influence, exceptional communication skills, and strong proficiency in Excel are essential to success in this role. You are a self-starter who takes ownership of projects and business problems to deliver results.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Serve as the business owner for your vendors and brands, working autonomously with a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact your business
- Coordinate
cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external partners to hit financial targets while meeting tight deadlines
- Conduct financial analyses of business opportunities, including weekly and monthly vendor performance metrics, to meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals
- Provide input on promotional activity, space allocation, pricing, productivity analysis, and forecasting for your vendors and brands
- 1+ years of
account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience managing large amounts of data
- Experience in process improvement

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
