To keep our operations network secure and ensure operational continuity, we are looking for a proven senior leader to join our team as Senior Manager, Investigations. In this critical role, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for a multi-regional, international investigative pillar within Amazon's Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) organization. You will own the end-to-end performance, capability, and direction of an organizationally layered team comprising Senior Investigations Managers, Investigations Experts, and Investigations Specialists across multiple geographies - setting the strategic vision for your pillar and partnering with the most senior leaders across Amazon to protect our people, operations, and customers at scale.
Key job responsibilities
Define and own the investigative strategy for your multi-regional pillar, aligning investigative priorities to Amazon's broader security, operational, and business objectives
Lead and develop an organisationally layered, internationally dispersed team comprising Senior Investigations Managers (L6), Investigations Experts (L5), and Investigations Specialists (L4); own hiring, performance management, development, and organisational design across international boundaries
Coach and develop L6 managers to lead their own teams effectively, raising leadership capability across the pillar and building a pipeline of future senior investigative talent
Serve as the most senior investigative escalation point across your pillar, directing the approach, scope, and resource allocation on the most critical and sensitive matters; exercise independent judgement on consequential decisions in conditions of significant ambiguity and incomplete information
Hold your pillar accountable to the investigative quality, consistency, compliance, and integrity standards defined by Strategic Services, Framework and Enablement (
SSFE); actively contribute to the development and iteration of those frameworks, bringing field-level insight and operational reality to their design
Govern the investigative operations of your pillar - including case management compliance, escalation protocols, and performance reporting - ensuring consistent application of
SSFE-defined standards across a complex, multi-regional organisation
Serve as the senior strategic partner and escalation point for Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, Public Policy, Compliance, Outside Counsel, and law enforcement at the most senior levels
Own and present the investigative performance narrative for your pillar - including loss, recovery, case outcomes, and quality metrics - to VP-level and above leadership, translating data into strategic insight and decisive action
Identify and address systemic risks and structural vulnerabilities across the supply chain within your pillar; partner with

As Senior Manager, Investigations, you will be the most senior investigations leader within your pillar, accountable for the performance, strategy, and direction of a multi-regional, internationally deployed investigative organization. You will operate at the intersection of senior people leadership, strategic escalation, and enterprise partnership - developing leaders, driving investigative standards, and shaping how investigations are conducted across your pillar.
About the team
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations. The Investigations team is a support function to Security and Loss Prevention Field Operations, responsible for the management, development, and conclusion of investigative activity. Our team provides support, guidance, and direction on a broad range of investigative issues - from theft of inventory and workplace incidents to complex, sophisticated fraud involving multiple bad actors, stakeholders, and marketplaces.
- Bachelor's degree in business, international relations, or a security-related field
- Experience managing people including development, hiring, performance management, and leading teams dispersed across various regions
- Experience successfully leading and developing a team of direct and indirect reports
- 4+ years of fraud/risk investigations experience
- Experience with operations, risk, fraud investigations etc.
- Experience leading
cross-functional teams to establish strong partnerships with demonstrable results
- Experience driving security programs across large diverse organizations
- Experience delivering complex, data-driven recommendations to senior leaders
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience leading and transforming highly effective organizations
- Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of SQL at the intermediate level
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Business, Security Management, Criminology)
- Relevant senior industry certification (e.g., CFE, CPP, CISM) and/or Wicklander-Zulawski Non-Confrontational Interview Accreditation (Level 2)
- Experience engaging directly with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, or government stakeholders at a senior level
- Experience operating within or alongside legal counsel in high-stakes litigation, regulatory, or law enforcement referral contexts

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
