As part of the Google Cloud Communications team in Global Communications and Public Affairs (GCPA), it’s our job to help inform and educate customers, partners, opinion leaders — and our own employees — about the benefits of our products, our company culture and values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. To succeed here, you'll need to combine creativity with organizational skills and manage numerous projects to tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators. Things happen quickly at Google, and you’ll need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally, and someone who isn't afraid to take risks or try new things.
In this role, you will act as a subject-matter specialist, developing and executing long-term external communications plans that align directly with overarching business goals across the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem. You will translate complex engineering milestones and product breakthroughs into compelling stories that resonate with a different range of audiences, from developer communities and data scientists to enterprise business leaders.
Additionally, you will navigate the intersection of technical, developer-focused communications and high-level enterprise business narratives. Your proficiency in executive stakeholder management, business acumen, and external relationship-building will be crucial as you coach executive leaders, build strong media partnerships, and safeguard Google Cloud's reputation across this expansive portfolio.
