Interaction Designer, YouTube Search

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$155,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Help define features users love through design and collaborate effectively across UX, Product, and Engineering.
• Produce high-quality designs—from concept to execution—for mobile phones, tablets, and web.
• Translate conceptual direction into creative static and interactive designs within engineering and product constraints.
• Communicate design outlook to team members while rationalizing design through collaboration with UX researchers.
• Partner closely with engineers for detailed implementation and collaborate with other designers on the team.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience in interaction design within product design or UX design.
• Experience with visual design, prototyping, and communication.
• Experience designing, building, or launching consumer-facing products.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of experience leading design projects.
• Experience building and contributing to flexible design systems.
• Experience using GenAI tools or vibe coding.
• Experience communicating design positions and storytelling to challenge product design thinking.
