As overall AI Driven Defense Tech Lead, this role will provide critical governance and technical leadership over Alphabet's use of AI/ML systems to proactively defend Google as an enterprise. This includes transforming how Google's detection and prevention systems operate autonomously to defend Google against agentic and nation state threats. This will involve leading change across infrastructure and operations. In this role, you will build strategic influence and coordinate across multiple partner teams to set architecture, build consensus, make risk tradeoffs, and represent risks to leadership, with a strong focus on emerging threats from AI/ML-driven attack vectors. You will indirectly lead a distributed team of engineers across organizations and geographical areas for this endeavor to be successful.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
