As an Innovation Lead for Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (
CPG), you will be a core member of the delta innovation practice within Google Cloud Consulting. In this role, you will partner directly with leading retail brands, e-commerce platforms, and
CPG enterprises to design, prototype, and co-create next-generation customer experiences and intelligent retail operations. Operating with a product-centric mindset, you will lead innovation sprints, design thinking workshops, and user-centric prototyping initiatives. You will leverage deep fluency in artificial intelligence, generative AI, and agentic technologies specifically Google Cloud's AI suite to translate complex retail challenges (such as omnichannel personalization, agentic shopping, supply chain intelligence, and retail media) into tangible, high-value product concepts. You will collaborate closely with Account teams, client stakeholders, and technical delivery squads to accelerate the transition from abstract idea to production-grade value.

Responsibilities
- Lead design thinking workshops, discovery sprints, and co-creation sessions with retail and CPG clients to identify, validate, and prioritize high-impact AI use cases aligned with key business outcomes.
- Direct customer journey mapping, user research synthesis, and rapid experience prototyping for retail customer touchpoints, omnichannel shopping, and digital store operations.
- Apply applied expertise in artificial intelligence, generative AI, and agentic technology (including Gemini, Vertex AI, and GECX) to build compelling product narratives and define qualitative and quantitative business value cases.
- Translate abstract client needs into actionable product visions, user stories, success metrics, and sprint backlogs, ensuring solutions are built as scalable products rather than bespoke project deliverables.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of customer-facing experience in innovation strategy, design strategy, product management, or management consulting.
- Experience advising enterprise leaders (Vice President/CxO) and leading cross-functional engagements.
- Experience with AI technologies (Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, or AI Agent architectures) and cloud platforms.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in Strategic Design, or a related field.
- Experience leading design/innovation firms and tier-1 strategy consulting firms.
- Experience with Google Cloud's AI stack (Gemini, Vertex, GECX), building ROI models and repeatable product frameworks.
- Domain familiarity across retail and CPG value chains, including e-commerce, omnichannel retail, store operations, supply chain transparency, retail media networks, and consumer loyalty.
- Track record of pattern recognition to transform bespoke customer wins into scalable, industry-wide innovation plays.
- Track record of building product roadmaps, rapid value cases (qualitative and quantitative ROI models), user experience prototypes, and repeatable product frameworks.
