PageWide Industrial (PWI) is leading the way in an emerging digital print category for high volume, production inkjet presses. These high-speed, high quality devices, which can be as big as a bus, are creating new opportunities for digital color print. They allow our commercial print customers to dramatically reduce waste, grow their businesses, and improve profitability. PWI operates in a business-to-business market with great opportunities for close customer interaction.
PageWide inkjet is transforming publishing and personalized communication applications by accelerating the analog-to-digital transformation in spaces where inkjet provides added value. The Market Development Manager is responsible for expanding HP’s established commercial printing market in direct mail and customer communications. This person uses their in-depth understanding of the market, customers, and competition to define and execute a growth strategy for the segment. They engage with industry leaders to define and solidify new growth opportunities. This role works with customers and with the HP go to market team to help our customers grow their businesses. They drive promotion and awareness of HP in the market at events, tradeshows, webinars, and other venues. This person defines and pitches business cases for new growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Define segment strategy and execution plan
• Identify market opportunities and requirements to deliver on those opportunities
• Participates/lead ground planning exercises to prioritize segments, geographies and customers
• Create business development plans for existing or new customers to find growth opportunities
• Build businesses cases for new investments
• Drive promotion and awareness of HP in the market
• Support tradeshows, open houses, and customer product demonstrations
• Conduct market research
Education & Experience Recommended
• College degree in Marketing / Business, MBA preferred
• 10+ years of professional experience in high volume direct mail, commercial print, or related applications
• 7+ years of experience in marketing, sales, strategy, market development or business development
• Digital printing and/or analog production experience, with knowledge of whole ecosystem to some extent (media, workflow, presses, finishing)
• Account management or marketing operations experience desirable
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven track record of success developing and executing new business strategies in complex business environments with a global scope
• Excellent influencing, consensus building, and conflict-resolution skills

Salary
The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
