Would you like to re-think how Amazon releases software at scale?
Pipelines (https://pipelines.amazon.com/) is the backbone of software delivery at Amazon, and the
glue that connects all the pieces of the software development and release process for tens of thousands of engineers. As the company grows, we are investing in creating better outcomes for our internal customers, and are looking for a Software Development Engineer to design and implement metrics and features which measure and improve the development and release process for all Amazon builders.
Key job responsibilities
You will join a team of talented SDEs who are responsible for defining and implementing new metrics which measure the outcomes achieved by software development teams across Amazon, and creating new features and capabilities to improve those outcomes by reducing toil, improving safety, and helping our customers and company scale further and move faster. Your work will affect the direction of Pipelines as a product, and influence peer teams across Builder Tools such as
Apollo, Brazil Build, and more, to deliver excellent results and improve the day-to-day experience of all Amazon builders.
You will be responsible for delivering excellent designs and code, and helping to improve your team’s technical practices along the way. You will collaborate with engineers and managers to define the direction for your components to meet critical business needs, and ship features that influence how software development works at Amazon. You will lead and provide feedback in design reviews, collaborate with your team to provide inputs to the road-map, and contribute to overall product and team direction, both within your team and across the Pipelines org. You will participate in the hiring process, and help to coach and develop other engineers in your space.
