Job description
The Product/Senior Product Manager, AppleCare collaborates across Product Operations, Finance, Engineering, Retail, and Sales teams to define the roadmap and launch new device protection service experiences for AppleCare.
Shape the product vision, business model, and customer journey for AppleCare repair, replacement, and fulfillment programs across global markets
Research and synthesize device protection trends, competitive landscape, customer feedback, and market data to identify new product opportunities
Partner with operations and product teams to scale and optimize fulfillment pathways (in-store repair, mail-in service, express replacement, and on-site repair programs)
Understand the service and repair experience several layers deep and clearly communicate operational complexities with simplicity and insight
Negotiate and influence product and service trade-offs impacting coverage, turnaround time, usability, cost, and customer experience
Define positioning, key messaging, and go-to-market strategies for new AppleCare features in partnership with marketing communications and PR
Serve as an advocate for the AppleCare customer experience through executive reviews, partner discussions, and customer-facing engagements
6+ years in product management and/or product marketing, including ownership of a full product or service lifecycle from concept to launch.
Experience developing and launching customer-facing products or services
Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with operations, finance, legal, engineering, and marketing
10+ years in product management and/or product marketing, including ownership of a full product or service lifecycle from concept to launch
Experience with device protection programs, warranty or service operations, including post-purchase services models such as repair, claims, and customer support
Experience in both B2C and B2B environments — building consumer-facing products or services while also working with enterprise, carrier, retail, or service provider partners to deliver or scale those offerings
Ability to simplify operational and financial complexity into clear product strategies and customer value propositions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to influence through storytelling, data, and collaboration
A track record in formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing; Experience developing product communication for broad audiences, including customers, media, analysts, and leading industry specialists
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to shift between strategic and execution-focused work
Self-starter with creativity, critical thinking, and a passion for improving customer experience
BS/BA and/or MBA
