Assistant General Manager – Fashion Distribution Center What You’ll Do
As an Assistant General Manager for a Walmart Fashion Distribution Center, you’ll play a critical role in delivering fast, accurate, and cost‑effective distribution of apparel and softline merchandise to stores and customers. You’ll help lead a large, high‑volume operation, balancing speed, quality, inventory integrity, and associate engagement in a dynamic, seasonal environment.
You’ll partner closely with the General Manager to set direction, drive operational excellence, and develop leaders—while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high‑performing workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the facility business plan to achieve operational goals related to safety, quality, productivity, service, and cost.
- Lead day‑to‑day operations across multiple departments, ensuring consistent execution of standard work in a fast‑paced, fashion‑focused distribution environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, accuracy, inventory flow, and associate productivity—particularly during peak and seasonal demand.
- Partner with workforce planning teams to ensure staffing, scheduling, and labor deployment align with business needs and service expectations.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including production, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and service to stores.
- Support financial performance by managing expenses, improving asset utilization, and contributing to budget planning and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Walmart Logistics, safety, quality, and operational standards through consistent execution, audits, and leader accountability.
- Lead, coach, and develop salaried and hourly leaders by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and building a strong leadership pipeline.
- Resolve associate, store, and business partner concerns through fact‑based decision‑making and collaboration.
- Champion Walmart’s culture and values, fostering an environment where associates feel respected, supported, and empowered to perform at their best.

The annual salary range for this position is $116,000.00 - $174,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics /retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
