The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Partners cross-functionally to support production, drive continuous improvement, and deliver high-quality service aligned with Agilent’s core values. The Folsom manufacturing location site supports the manufacture of Agilent products that enable customers to deliver trusted scientific and diagnostic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive, corrective, and on-demand maintenance on multi-disciplinary manufacturing equipment and systems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
Install, qualify, and support enhancements or modifications to manufacturing machinery and processes.
Independently manage workload, prioritizing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Quality) to resolve issues and improve performance.
Communicate clearly on maintenance status, repair progress, and work order updates.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all maintenance activities in the maintenance management system.
Apply strong attention to detail and professionalism in all repair and service activities.
Uphold a customer-first mindset and contribute to a positive, team-based work environment.
Adhere to all safety standards including OSHA regulations, local requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.

SHIFT: Monday - Friday from 9 am - 530 pm PACIFIC
Requires higher education or specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years related experience and/or training in a maintenance/engineering environment supporting manufacturing operations.
Ability and willingness to handle gas cylinders, chemicals and solvents.
Demonstrated communication skills, including verbal and written communication, with vendors, internal customers, and employees.
Knowledge of OSHA, local safety guidelines, and lock-out tag-out.
Desire to work overtime as required.
Desired Qualifications:
2-year Technical Degree or technical training.
Experience in a chemistry and/or biochemical manufacturing environment.
Experience with automation, robotics, high vacuum systems, laser systems, industrial control systems (PLC’s), machining and fabrication equipment and tools.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for tools and equipment operation.
Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Ability to lift and/or move items up to and exceeding 25 pounds.
Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least May 27, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $32.84 - $51.31/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
