Job description
As an engineer on the Numbers team, you will contribute to exciting and powerful features in tables, charts, and spreadsheets that are used across Apple apps like Freeform, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages. The role focuses on building calculation and data visualization technologies both for Numbers and other applications in the Creator Studio suite. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to design, prototype, and implement features that delight our users while helping them do their best work with our applications.
Design, implement, and maintain spreadsheet, charting, and data visualization features supporting productivity applications.
Write and maintain high-quality code in Swift, Objective C, and C++.
Find fast and scalable solutions to complex problems involving data sets with millions of rows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical direction and influence architectural decisions.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical investigations while contributing to engineering excellence standards.
4 years experience with Objective C, Swift, or C++.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience with Apple's APIs.
Experience with data structures and algorithms, including performance analysis.
Ability to work on complex, ambiguous problems and drive solutions end-to-end.
Ability to reason about performance, concurrency, memory management, and system behavior.
Experience working on complex, long-lived codebases.
Experience with data visualization workflows
Experience with macOS and/or iOS internals.
