We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam.
Plaid’s Corporate Finance team leads company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, delivering strategic insights to internal and external stakeholders. We align financial goals with business objectives to support informed decision-making at the senior leadership and executive levels.
We are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Manager to serve as the primary owner and developer of our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform, Pigment. In this individual contributor role, you will architect, build, and continuously improve the financial planning infrastructure that powers Plaid's budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and management reporting. You will report into the Corporate Finance team and act as the connective tissue between Finance, Data, and Technology—translating complex business requirements into scalable, elegant systems solutions.
What excites us:
8+ years of experience in financial systems, FP&A operations, or business systems roles, with deep hands-on EPM platform expertise.
3+ years of specialization in EPM/CPM platforms (ie. Pigment strongly preferred; Anaplan or Adaptive Planning also considered), with deep hands-on expertise across model design, formula logic, and system configuration
Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of data flows, integrations, and governance across finance systems.
Experience integrating EPM platforms with ERP and HRIS systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday) via APIs or integration platforms.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and drive projects from concept through adoption independently.
Excellent communication skills—able to make technical concepts accessible to non-technical stakeholders and build trusted cross-functional relationships.
Proactive, self-directed mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical instincts and attention to detail, with a track record of ensuring data integrity and system accuracy at scale.
Demonstrated interest or experience in AI and automation tools applied to finance workflows—this person will own and drive Plaid's Corporate Finance automation roadmap, so a curiosity and bias toward building is essential.
What excites you:
Own the Pigment platform end-to-end—model architecture, formula logic, system configuration, integration design, and ongoing administration—while leading the design and delivery of planning solutions across full-year budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and headcount planning.
Manage financial data integrations between Pigment, NetSuite, and other source systems, ensuring seamless data flow, accuracy, and consistency.
Build and maintain reporting frameworks, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities that surface key business insights and empower Finance teams to access and analyze data independently.
Lead, design, and implement Plaid's AI and automation roadmap for FP&A—identifying high-impact opportunities, evaluating and deploying tools, and building scalable workflows that meaningfully improve forecast accuracy, reporting speed, and overall FP&A team leverage.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Pigment users across Finance and Procurement—providing training, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Contribute to the long-term Finance systems roadmap alongside the ERP/Accounting systems lead, ensuring a holistic and scalable architecture.
Partner with FP&A leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to translate evolving business requirements into system enhancements and process improvements.
Stay current on Pigment product releases and industry best practices, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage new capabilities.
