Job description
In this role, you will partner with numerous cross functional business and product teams to design workflow and technical solutions that support the sales and sales finance teams in driving Apple’s multi-billion dollar demand generation strategy. You will lead initiatives from concept through launch, identifying bottlenecks and designing scalable solutions to solve them along the way. You will be responsible for defining high-impact goals, breaking them into actionable work streams, and driving successful delivery with measurable outcomes.
To start, your scope will focus on transforming the business process of demand generation execution, from deal approval to term sheet creation to payment, as well as the associated contra-revenue accruals and forecast process. You will partner with worldwide and regional finance leads, operations, legal, and engineering to drive workflow optimization through process, data and technology solutions. You’ll lean heavily on your creative problem solving, project management, and influence and execution skills to drive process standardization and best practice implementation with the goal of saving time, improving controls and enabling analytics and AI in this space.
Engage subject matter experts across regions and functions to deeply understand their existing processes, needs and pain points.
Collaborate with business process owners to lead process design.
Drive business process alignment, adherence, and governance to global process requirements and best practices.
Partner with technical and data technology teams to drive standardized solutions and accelerate process stabilization.
Implement a data-driven approach to measuring process health.
Develop and handle continuous improvement plans for complex global projects.
Persuade stakeholders to accept new ideas and ensure successful implementation of complex solutions.
Provide expert thought leadership and strategic contributions.
Clearly communicate the vision, how to get there, status updates and KPIs in regular status updates with senior leaders.
Operate autonomously. Solve complex problems with little precedent.
Become the go-to expert and thought partner for current and ideal state process within this domain.
8+ years of experience.
Experience driving process transformation.
Strong program management skills.
Excellent communication and executive presence — confidence and experience briefing senior stakeholders.
Highly self-motivated, with demonstrated critical thinking and creative problem solving skills.
Ability to learn complex processes in a dynamic work environment on a steep learning curve.
Comfortable with highly variable global hours, international travel and in-person collaboration with local teams.
Ability to excel and execute in an environment without rigid roles and responsibilities or dedicated stakeholder bandwidth.
Experience & Subject-Matter Expertise
8+ years of experience experience in project and/or program management, preferably within Sales Finance or Revenue Operations functions.
Proven track record of driving organizational change at scale, preferably global in nature.
Deep experience with project management tools and approaches, including agile, waterfall, etc.
Experience documenting current state processes, associated pain points, and using that to design and document future state processes.
Proven ability to drive ruthless cross-functional prioritization by defining and measuring quantitative and qualitative ROI metrics.
Proven ability to analyze data from enterprise applications, and understand how to leverage it for complex end-to-end transactional and reporting processes.
Leadership & Execution
Ability to define strategic goals and drive execution across multiple functions and work streams with minimal supervision or precedent.
Mastery of project planning and resource management.
Adept at breaking down complex problems into manageable initiatives.
Comfortable managing ambiguity and dynamically adjusting plans.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Proven track record gaining senior leadership buy in.
Outstanding ability to ensure broad stakeholder alignment and clarity at every stage in a project.
Proven ability to gain alignment across multiple, strongly diverse perspectives at varying levels of the organization.
Strong relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical team members.
Technical
Advanced skills in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, CODA, PowerBI)
Experience working on enterprise systems and technology transformation projects
Avid explorer of AI systems and applications to business process
Ability to stand up local POCs to stress test requirements and pilot solutions
