Role summary:
The
Associate Merchant, Non-Alcoholic Mixers supports category management by facilitating supplier and distributor negotiations, resolving supplier-related issues to ensure accurate product setup across channels, and owns the subcategory P&L. This role collaborates with
cross-functional teams to implement merchandising strategies. Utilizing data analysis and digital tools, the Associate Merchant contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and promotional planning while maintaining compliance with company policies. The position requires strong vendor relationship management and a customer-focused approach to drive category performance and deliver value aligned with organizational goals.
About the team:
The Adult Beverage Merchandising team combines strategy, analytics, and execution to manage a dynamic category impacting millions of customers. Collaborating across suppliers, distributors, operations, and stores, the team ensures optimal assortment, pricing, and customer experience while driving growth. The team values curiosity, accountability, and effective collaboration in a fast-paced retail environment. Members leverage data analysis, vendor relationship management, AI, and category strategy to support supplier negotiations and enhance customer-focused processes. This team plays a key role in delivering results through strong partnerships and informed decision-making aligned with business goals.
What you'll do:
- Own and deliver on the the P&L
- Provide administrative support to merchants during supplier negotiations for assigned categories.
- Assist in resolving supplier issues and facilitate the setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support category features, modular assortment, and promotional activities.
- Analyze sales data and support forecasting, budgeting, and financial tracking for assigned categories.
- Leverage AI and data tools to generate insights and support technology adoption within scope of work.
- Support item setup decisions and sample management processes to optimize inventory and pricing strategies.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations within retail or related sectors.
- Strong skills in category strategy development and execution to support merchandising goals.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and track category performance.
- Ability to manage purchase orders and resolve supplier-related issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with AI, digital tools, and other technology to enhance item setup, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Effective collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with merchants, planners, modular teams, and store operations.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity, compliance, and customer-focused execution.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
